Mental Training, Inc. and the National Association for Fitness Certification (NAFC) partner to provide a mental coaching course for fitness professionals involved in NAFC’s continuing education program.
Mental Training, Inc (MTI), a world leader in mental skills training programs, and the National Association for Fitness Certification (NAFC) have partnered together to offer an online mental coaching program to NAFC fitness professionals.
The NAFC has provided scientifically based education programs since 1992, and it is the most rapidly expanding Fitness Certification Organization in the United States. By partnering with MTI, NAFC trainers now have access to a program that incorporates over 20 years of research in mental skills training. When enrolled in MTI’s mental coaching program, NAFC trainers will improve their leadership and coaching skills while learning how to implement key mental skills into their fitness training programs such as scientific goal setting and mental imagery training.
“We are excited to partner with the NAFC,” says Dr. Bob Neff, Founder and CEO of MTI. “Research shows that within 6 months, 50% of people who begin an exercise program drop out. By partnering with the NAFC, our mental coaching program will provide their trainers access to a new set of tools to empower people to make fitness a lifelong habit. When people train both mentally and physically, motivation improves and difficult fitness and weight loss goals are achieved more often.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger once said that in fitness you must dedicate yourself to your training, diet, and mental approach, just like any other sport. Not only does the NAFC place an emphasis on physical fitness and nutritional health, but its partnership with MTI shows its dedication to mental toughness too.
