Mental Training, Inc. is excited to announce that in 2013, nine individuals successfully completed the intense Mental Trainer® certification program. These people have dedicated themselves to a mental training career of helping athletes and performers strengthen their mental skills to produce optimal performance.

One of the biggest missions Mental Training, Inc. (MTI) has as a company is to change the mental training paradigm worldwide. Coaches and athletes need to know that mental toughness is built through mental skills training. To facilitate this mission, MTI has developed a unique training program to certify motivated, educated, and entrepreneurial individuals seeking a career in the applied realm of sport psychology.

This program, known as the Future Certified Mental Trainer® (F-CMT®) program, provides comprehensive education and training on how to most effectively consult with athletes, teams, coaches, and business professionals to help them achieve consistently high performance in pressure-packed competition environments.

The performance enhancement market within sport and business is big enough for 10’s of thousands of Mental Trainers®, but athletes, coaches, parents and business people need to be educated first. When joining MTI, F-CMTs begin working directly with a Mental Trainer® who guides them through the process. Upon completion, CMTs can soon be generating revenue from as many as 7 different sources (direct & indirect 1on1’s, MentalApp®, proctoring corporate programs, online courses, CAP for teams, and mentoring other F-CMTs). For the first time in the history of the mental training industry, Mental Trainers have the ability to generate 6-figure incomes doing what they love – teaching mental skills.

Specifically, the F-CMT® process provides:

  • Detail on MTI consultation systems for intakes, sessions, renewals, tracking, etc.
  • Access to quality mental training skills and content.
  • Supervised client interaction and feedback.
  • Clear and fair knowledge assessments.

In 2013, nine Mental Trainers® from locations across the United States and in 2 countries completed the F-CMT® program. In the US, there was Dr. Carla-Dyann Brown from Brooks, GA, Michelle Conner from Austin, TX, Val Falcone from Orlando, FL, Cheryl Johnson from Oak Hill, VA, Shelly Hopkins from Burnsville, MS, Mike Margolies from Issaquah, WA, and James Spence from Folsom, CA. Outside of the US, there was Peter Schneider in Leipzig, Germany and Ricardo Kaufman in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

“At MTI, we pride ourselves on being able to provide the best mental training in the world, which is why our F-CMT program continues to globally attract individuals dedicated to this mission,” says Dr. Robert Neff, Founder and CEO of MTI.

Although they may be located in geographically different areas, each Mental Trainer® on the MTI team is well equipped to provide tools and support for athletes and performers to strengthen their mental skills for optimal performance. The core of their work involves teaching people how to control their thoughts and emotions so they can perform their best when it matters the most. MTI Mental Trainers® work with a variety of age, experience, and competitive levels within a multitude of sport, business, and other performance industries.
