More about me:
My parents have told me that as soon as I could walk, I was constantly kicking and punching the air while yelling. You could say that my initial inspiration came from seeing the Karate Kid and the Ninja Turtles, but I like to think it has been God’s plan for me the whole time.
I started competitive Taekwondo when I was 6 years old and haven’t stopped since. Thus far I have made 3 Jr. Nationals teams, 1 Under-24 National team, 2 College National teams and even the Senior USA National Team. I have been the team captain 4 times, I’ve taken medals at Jr and Collegiate World Championships, Pan American Championships and Opens all around the world, but I am a firm believe that what God has in store for me is much bigger. I can easily remember watching the Olympic Games medal ceremonies and getting goosebumps as I realized that one day I would be on that medal stand.
My progress hasn’t been easy though. I’ve experienced my fair share of heart-breaks, blood, broken bones, ruptured tendons and surgeries, but with hard work and determination I never lost sight of the end goal. At this point in my career, I am a full-time student, working towards law school, and currently in the best shape of my life. Mentally and Physically I give every practice 110%. With dedication, hard work and being thoroughly blessed, I have accomplished so much already and am nothing but grateful for everything that has happened to me.
If Taekwondo has taught me anything, it’s that with determination and belief, there is nothing you can’t accomplish!
